2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 comes in either an extended cab version or a crew cab version. When considering which one to choose there is a few things to keep in mind that could influence your decision.
Buying an extended cab gives you the advantage of having a little extra space or tab to store stuff like tools or other equipment that you do not want to leave the bed. Even though the extended cab comes with fold down seats for extra passengers a little cramped back there.
The crew cab however has four doors and a full rear seat for passengers to sit comfortably and have room. Regardless if you usually have passengers the convenience of having the extra two doors makes getting things in and out of the truck easier.
In addition to having the two doors makes it possible to place things on the seat for transportation whereas with the extended cab you have to prop it up and somehow secure it.
The other advantage of having a crew cab option is for those who may have been considering buying an SUV but decided they really wanted or needed the bed for work or some other purpose. The crew cab allows them to have the benefits of an SUV that sacrificing the utility of a pickup bed.
The crew cab is perfect for hauling supplies and at the same time cleans up for a family trip to the movies.
The suggested MSRP Pricing for the Extended Cab starts at $30,360 while the Crew Cab starts at $33,225, a difference of approximately $3,000.

Just looking at the new Silverado, several of the features that immediately jump out are the big rig style wheels, mirrors, and front grill. It’s almost as if Chevy has created a miniaturized version of a semi-truck. In addition the 2011 model picks up fuel economy with an 11% increase in efficiency over the 2010 Silverado.
If you like stats, you be pleased to hear that the 21,700 pounds of towing capacity beats the Ford F350 and Dodge ram.
